Host the FIFA World Cup trophy in Casablanca, Morocco for two days engaging with key stakeholders and fans.

OBJECTIVE

  • Build hype and association between Rexona and FIFA/The trophy in the build up to the trophy arriving in Casablanca
  • Day 1 – engage with key stakeholders, dignitaries, media, influencers and unveil the trophy and a VIP event (500 pax)
  • Day 2 – engage with the public/fans and give them the opportunity to participate in varies activities and get a picture with the trophy (1,500 pax)

WHAT WE DID

Rexona created ‘winners’ trophy’ where they brought the FIFA World Cup to Morocco for the first time ever!

  • 6 Week build up – media placement, influencer campaign and various consumer competitions that would allow 1,500 lucky fans to get a chance to engage with the FIFA World Cup winner’s trophy
  • Day 1 – engage with key stakeholders, dignitaries, media, influencers and unveil the trophy and a VIP event (500 pax)
  • Day 2 – engage with the public/fans and give them the opportunity to participate in varies activities and get a picture with the trophy (1,500 pax)

RESULTS

Both day 1 and day 2 where over subscribed with huge fans, media and influencer interest that resulted in:

  • $6,300,000 in earned media (KPI R1 million)
  • Both events covered by every major media group in Morocco (electronic media & print)
  • Over 50 top influencers hosted at the VIP launch and between them reaching over 10 million fans (native media)
